Getting Started with VBRI Group CRM
Your first 15 minutes in the CRM: sign up, add a lead, create a deal, and invite a teammate.
Goal
By the end of this tutorial, you will have set up the essentials — logged in, added your first lead, moved it toward a deal, and invited someone to work with you.
1. Create your account and land on the Dashboard
- Navigate to your VBRI Group CRM instance and click Create account.
- On the Create Account page, fill in your Full Name, Organization Name, Email, and Password.
- Click Create Account.
You're signed in immediately and land on the Dashboard — your workspace home. You'll see:
- Metric cards at the top: Total Leads, Qualified Leads, Conversion Rate, and Active Workflows.
- Getting started card below, with a checklist and progress bar.
- Standard widgets for Lead Trends, Conversion Funnel, Lead Pipeline, and Recent Leads.
2. Walk through the Getting started checklist
The Getting started card on your Dashboard lists five quick tasks:
- Connect a lead source
- Add your first lead
- Create your first deal
- Automate a follow-up
- Invite your team
The order and wording adapt to the answers you gave during signup (e.g., if your primary goal was "grow my team," inviting teammates moves to the top), so your card may not match this list exactly. These steps are detected live — when you complete each one, the card updates automatically and the progress bar advances. You can click on any open step to jump straight to that screen. When all five are done, you'll see a "Setup complete" message.
This tutorial walks through them in the order below, which works regardless of what order your card shows.
3. Add your first lead manually
- Click the Getting started card's first step, or go to Leads in the sidebar.
- On the Leads page, click New Lead in the top-right toolbar.
- In the dialog, enter the Name and Email (both required), and leave Status at its default of New.
- Click Save Lead.
Your lead is added with source Manual. The lead appears in the Grid view, and the Getting started checklist advances to step 2.
4. Move a lead through statuses and create an Opportunity
Change the lead's status
- On the Leads page, find the lead you just added in the Grid view.
- Click the Status chip on its row and select Qualified.
The lead's status changes immediately, and the table refreshes.
Create an Opportunity from the lead
- Click anywhere on the lead's row to open its drawer on the right.
- In the drawer, click the Create Opportunity button.
A deal is created immediately — named after the lead — and starts in the Qualified stage. You can open it from Opportunities afterward to add a value, expected close date, or move it through your pipeline. Your Getting started checklist advances to step 3.
5. Invite one teammate
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Under the Workspace group, click Team.
- On the Members tab, click Invite Member.
- Enter your teammate's email address.
- Pick a role from the dropdown:
- Organization Admin — full access to everything, including settings.
- Organization Member — day-to-day work (leads, deals, Copilot).
- Organization Viewer — read-only.
- Click Send Invite.
Your teammate receives an invitation email with a link. They have 3 days to accept it. Until they do, they'll show as Pending in the Members table. Once they accept and sign in, they'll show as Active.
Your Getting started checklist is now complete, and you'll see the "Setup complete" message.
